Vulcan Materials Company Foundation established in 1988 to make charitable contributions with a particular focus on education, environmental stewardship and employee involvement.
250 schools are adopted through K-12 Adopt-A-School program.
Over 44,000 people took part in tours and science-related educational programs in 2007. Most of these were school children who toured our facilities in conjunction with earth science studies.

In 2007, Vulcan received this award again.
