Recycled Materials
Previously used concrete and asphalt paving materials
can sometimes be recycled. After careful inspection, these materials are
re-crushed and sized to meet customer specifications for other uses. At
times, the incoming material contains steel wire or rods that were used
to support or reinforce the original structure. If steel is found, it
is removed, sorted and shipped back to steel producers to be used again
in the manufacture of other steel products.
For large-scale projects in some markets, Vulcan can provide
on-site recycling, thereby avoiding the cost and time it takes to transport
materials to a recycling facility. Customers are encouraged to contact
